Working with toddlers like Jackson makes my job super easy. With a model this cute and co-operative, it makes a day at the park exactly like a day at the park. Not only is he adorable and expressive, but he brings along two really photogenic parents with heaps of great smiles. What a pleasure working with this family I been fortunate to know for decades. Can’t wait to watch Jackson grow taller than his 6’6″ father!
I’ve photographed family portraits at Colonel Sam Smith Park before. I like it because it’s quiet, has a lot of shade and open grass space, and is frankly quite close to a lot of young couples and their families in the Mimico region of Etobicoke (though technically this park is in New Toronto, though I’ve never heard of that neighbourhood). Plus, how can you not love that long row of trees on either side of the path. Awesome. Especially nice in the fall.
