New Year, New Logo, New Site Design

It always seems like right when I’m getting use to a year, we have to go ahead and bring on a new one. Time certainly flies! I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year! May it be a fantastic adventure for you all.

At the start of this new year I’m pretty excited to announce the unveiling of a newly designed web site, compliments of Bampot Design and Communication. It’s a big improvement from my first attempt in the summer of 2007 and I’m super excited about it’s simplicity and professionalism.

In case anyone wonders about the uncommon and relatively unpopular horizontal scroll, it was entirely my decision. I’ve seen it on a few photographers websites and I’ve always really liked the look and feel. Because it’s not too common, I was aware it’s considered counter intuitive to “typical” scrolling, but once I figured out (on a mac) that if you hold the shift key while scrolling down on your mouse it will scroll horizontally, I didn’t see any difference. Plus, I really like how it creates a letterbox effect (and HD is all the rage), and how all the images load at the same time and you don’t have to press “next” and wait for the next image to appear… one at a time, one at a time.

Please e-mail me if you see any errors or have any comments or suggestions on the site. Thanks for your feedback!
